PsxBox

- WHAT IS IT? -

After years of collecting psx games I needed a way to organize and keep track of the games in my collection along with all there
corresponding information. The answer to this ultimately became PsxBox. PsxBox originally started out as a very simple application that allowed me to accomplish some of these general tasks. Over time I began to add features and functions and at one point eventually ended up totally rewriting PsxBox from scratch to fit my needs.

PsxBox allows the avid collector to organize, catalogue, and store information about each individual game in there collection. You are able to store things such as the publisher, developer, genre, region, release date, and serial number for each game all while organizing
your collection into a list.

Below is a list of some of the main features offered with the latest release.

• Save important information such as region, genre, developer, publisher, release date, and serial number for each game.
• A rating system allows you to rate your games.
• Save compatible emulator information along with it’s corresponding video and sound plugin information.
• Write a detailed description about each game in your list or add notes such as game cheats or hints.
• Save and view screenshots or cover art for each game in your list.
• View and organize your collection by genre or region.
• Save your list to an external text file.
• Easy editing of all information at any time after adding a game to your list.
• Compatible with Wine for Linux users ver. 1.1+ are no longer tested under linux

• Added new confirmation boxes in the screenshot editing section
• Screenshot edit buttons now appear when rolling over screenshot area (also by single clicking)
• List now set to refresh after editing screenshot and description information
• Fixed error when trying to save when nothing was in the list
• Removed cancel feature when in the middle of a save
• Saving to an existing .txt file will now correctly delete the file before saving a new one
• New changes in the way the save feature has been implemented now make the process of saving many times faster
• The main window has again been set to disable after launching the wizard (To many bugs were introduced)

• dropdown menus now open and close when clicked
• when launching the wizard the main program window no longer becomes locked
• new confirmation boxes now correctly show
• confirmation box when exiting the wizard has been removed
• you can now exit the wizard by pressing escape
• new key shortcuts introduced with the addition to the new top menu
• top menu added allowing some acces to commands and a about popup was added.
• implemented save feature allowing you to save your collection to a text file

- UPGRADE INFORMATION -

If you are upgrading from a previous version and wish to keep your current collection you will need to  replace your “Data” folder with your old “Data” folder from the previous release.
